Democrats lock Republicans out of committee room
Democrats lock Republicans out of committee room
Rep. Edolphus Towns (D-N.Y.) locked Republicans out of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee room to keep them from meeting when Democrats aren’t present.

Towns’ action came after repeated public ridicule from the leading Republican on the committee, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), over Towns’s failure to launch an investigation into Countrywide Mortgage’s reported sweetheart deals to VIPs. picked by shuallyo 1 month ago

Turn about doesn't taste so good, ehh? Democrats on several important committees were locked out by their Republican peers.

--

Seriously, people, this partisanism WILL tear our country apart. Can't we just believe in having parties, rather than following them?

Judge the people based on their actions, not their 'caste'.

You know... I've been hearing the argument. Well.. Republicans did it..... which is some sort of way of making it "okay" for Democrats to do it. Democrats, from 2006 to 2008 ran on a platform of standing against the "culture of corruption"... yet... they pull off the exact same sh8t. Then I listen to people defend democrats...saying... well... republicans did the same thing... Sorry, even if it's true it doesn't make it right. So I think the safe assumption to make here is there really has been NO CHANGE that was promised in recent elections. It's the same ol status quo from previous years...It's just annoying. I'll sit through a dreadful hour of Keith Olbermann and about 90% of his show is defending shady democrat practices by finding a vague example of a republican doing the same thing, then calling that republican a hypocrite, then twisting the story and turning it into a republican issue. It's rediculous.

Oh please... all during the Bush administration, Bill Clinton was used as a constant yardstick to justify innumerable shady deals or concepts. If anything... the current administration doesn't heap ENOUGH blame on the last 8 for the mess we're in. This is not a matter of republican or democrat... this is politics 101. It seems it only catches our attention or our ire if its being done TO us instead of FOR us.

You have proven my point nicely.
