As much as I love the F-22 Raptor (a whooole lot), I have to agree with Obama on this one. The US military hasn't really stressed a need for any new planes...... However just think... if you read the drudgereport the other day... had the goverment just bought all their ham from Food Lion, then they could have paid off half or more of this defense contract.

Heard on the news a bit earlier that the F-22 requires almost 30 hours of maint for every hour of flight.

About $44,000 per HOUR.

Good move, even McCain agrees.
