I just found out a friend from church is moving across the country. Her hubby got a job with Harley Davidson. I am happy for them, but I am sad to see them go.

Had to spend $950 in car repairs today... :(

Ouch! I thought your car just needed attention. What was wrong with it?

1. Had to replace a solenoid vent on the EVAP system, since the 'Check Engine' Light was on, plus I have to get a new gas cap (from the dealer). The current gas cap is 8 years old.

2. Started to do a rear brakes cleaning and adjustment only to find out that the car's rear (both) brakes wheel cylinders were leaking hydraulic fuel past the dust boot. Plus it needed new rear brake shoes...

That was the total with parts, labor and tax...

It's Wednesday and not the weekend :(

I am sick. My throat hurts and now on top of that, I have a cough.

* 1 oz brandy, whiskey or rum
* 1 Tbsp honey
* 1/4 lemon
* 1 cup hot water
* 1 tea bag

1. Coat the bottom of a mug or an Irish coffee glass with honey.
2. Add the liquor and the juice of the lemon quarter.
3. On the side, heat water in a tea kettle and add the tea bag to make hot tea.
4. Pour the steaming tea into the glass and stir.

I'd like to send out a big "f**k you" to the people who voted Yes, and an equally big "f**k you" to the people who would have voted No but couldn't be bothered to get off their asses and help protect my friends' right to get married.

Good heavens...My mom used to make them for me minus the tea, and one was all I needed to pass out!

The ones I drank were a tad more than a shots worth.

I should probably add that she gave them to me at 2 or 3 in the morning, after listening to me cough for several hours, so loudly that she couldn't sleep, when our rooms were a floor apart. So, very much an empty stomach. :)

I used to drink something similar, called a Blob from Yates's wine lodge.. (An English thing, don't ask)

But from memory it was half a pint of fortified wine, some sugar, lemon and filled with boiling water.

I have been sick for three days. Stuffy, feel crappy. Coughing, etc.

My brother and his fiance are not doing well. I fear my brother is falling back into a dark ugly place again.

It is only because of his fiance that I even knew or got close to my brother.

Although, recent revelations are proving that I never really knew him. And for that, I am sad.

In all seriousness though, I hate people like that too. I really think long and hard before I say something that I think would hurt someones feelings and then never say it.

There is a girl I know who just blurts out hurtful stuff all the time. In the guise of course that it may be funny.

She has taken a few jabs at me, and I do defend myself, but more importantly, when she goes after someone else, I bring it to her attention that that comment was inappropriate as well.

Now, let's go sit in that hot tub!!
